Processing a contactless sale
- Enter amount or select 'Sale' and enter amount
- Customer must tap card/phone
- If device beeps, card has been read
- Follow on-screen instructions
Processing a sale using Chip and PIN
- Enter amount or select 'Sale' and enter amount
- Insert card into terminal
- Enter PIN if prompted
- Follow on-screen instructions
Processing a sale by swiping a card
- Enter amount or select 'Sale' and enter amount
- Swipe card along side of terminal
- Follow on-screen instructions
Keyed customer present/ customer not present
- Enter amount or select 'Sale' and enter amount
- Key in the customer card number
- Answer if customer is present or not
- Answer on-screen questions
- If customer isn't present there may be extra questions or checks.
Processing a refund
Whether it's contactless, chip, swipe or keyed, select 'Refund' from the menu and follow on-screen instructions
Void transaction
- Select 'Void' from menu
- Enter the sequence number from receipt
- Follow on-screen instructions
- If you don't enter a sequence number and press 'OK', the last transaction will be void.
2. Receipts and reports
Duplicating transaction receipt
- Select 'Duplicate' from menu
- Enter the sequence number from receipt
- Follow on-screen instructions
- If you don't enter a sequence number and press 'OK', the last transaction receipt will be duplicated
Printing a report
- Select 'Reports'
- Enter the management password, if prompted
- Select the relevant report option to print
P2PE
All devices support P2PE and will mask PAN on both merchant and customer copy
3. Optional Features
Following features are optional depending on what was ordered for device. To avail all these call our Customer Services Support Team.
End of day reporting
- Set to run, automatically or manually. If automatic, ensure terminal stays on at all times.
- For manual, select 'End of day'
- Enter management password if prompted
- Select 'Upload End of day'
- Reports will be printed once 'End of day' has been succcessful
Cashback
- Select 'OK' if customer wants cashback
- Enter the amount which is added to sum total
- Continue payment
Dynamic currency conversion
If your device is configured for DCC, and the card presented is eligible for DCC, customer can choose to pay in the local currency or their own currency.
Hotel functionality/ pre-authentication
- Select ‘Pre-auth’ from the main menu
- Follow the prompts on the terminal
Hotel functionality/check-out
Select ‘Completion’ from main menu P2PE and follow the prompts on terminal
Transactions with gratuity
There are two different types of gratuity available:
Option 1. Gratuity amount.
- Enter gratuity amount manually and select ‘OK’
Option 2. Gratuity percent or amount.
- Default of 10% gratuity
- Default of 15% gratuity
- ‘Enter %’ to manually enter own %
- ‘Enter amount’ to manually enter own amount
4. Points to note
Not connected
If Cloud icon displays, the terminal is not connected. Check router, and cable, then restart terminal.
Transactions referred
If transaction is referred, the device will display a message to call for authorisation. Enter password and authorisation code.
Tamper
If the device shows a ‘Tamper Error’ please contact our Customer Support Team.
Last pin attempt
Customer has one final PIN attempt remaining. Entering the PIN incorrectly will block card.
MID/TID
These are printed on receipts.
